Mount Wakid, Tambunan

I heard about Mount Wakid last year when i saw my facebook friend share it on Fb.
Although i am a Tambunanese(mother's side) but i never heard about this mount all my life.
*please apologize my ignorance.
So, when my cousin-Mimie ask me if i wanted to join the Mount Wakid hike, i said YES on the spot.

22 July.
See, trip to Mount Wakid took only 2 hours and half to reach to the peak so you can do it in 1 day.
From Kota Kinabalu to Tambunan will take about 2 hours so you don't need to stay over at Tambunan Town if you don't have time.

We gather at the Kg.Sunsuron's Hall at 7am and probably started our journey around 8am.
Arrived at the peak around 10.30am.
there's waterfall we went to take bath before we headed home.
enjoy the photos.
on the way

Expolring Vietnam : Ho Chi Minh City

So from Muine to HCM is actually only 3 hours and half or 4 hours.
Which mean you can go day trip to Muine from Ho Chi Minh.
I learn that a lot of people do a day trip to MuiNe from HCM while i was in Muine.

So, our sleeping bus departed from Muine around 9am.
We arrived HCM about 12 noon.
and we quickly went to find a hotel nearby Ban Tan Market.
See, why we choose Ban Tan? because it's a very famous place to get souvenir and it's also has a lot of Malay Restaurant which is gonna be good for our friend,Irwan to cari makan.

touch down

Exploring Vietnam : Mui Ne Sand

So we arrived Nha Trang about 8 am in the morning.
We stop for a while before we continue our journey to our next location-Mui Ne.

So while waiting for our next bus we took a walk at the beach.

Exploring Vietnam: Hoi An City

As i mention earlier in this post (click here to read).
We took the 4am bus and estimate our time of arrival to Hoi An city is at 12pm.
But, thing got out of hand when our bus was stopped by the Vietnam's imigration for about 2 hours or so.
checking in progress.

Exploring Vietnam : Phong Nha Ke Bang

We arrived Dong Hoi at Phong Nha Town around 4am in the morning.
It's too early! yas.
Phong Nha town is just a small town but there's ATM and hotel with lots of good places to eat.
For Muslim, there are indian restaurant just beside the road you can see.
So, you shouldn't be so worry about food.

Initially we don't want to rent a room since we plan to follow the next night bus but then we were Informed that there's only 2 bus that leave from Phong Nha to Hoian.
One at 4am and the other one is at 7am.
So we had no other choice but to find a hotel to sleep for the night later.
We found a hotel just near our bus centre around 550kVND=110RM.
quite cheap for 3 person actually.

Our initial plan is to go explore the Caves by motorbike.
Problem is, only Irwan know how to ride a motorcycle, so we then decided to find a tour.
we paid 1,100k VND for the guide which is equal to MYR200.
include food, transportation, guide and entrance fee for 3 attraction.

So, we leave our hotel at 8am and our first destination is Phong Nha Botanic Garden.
The Botanic Garden is 45Minutes(i just guess this) from the town.
And our tour guide explain almost everything about Phong Nha while we are on it.

briefing before entering the garden.

Exploring Vietnam: Ninh Binh

14th May 2017

We arrived Hanoi City around 4 in the morning from Sapa.
Read about my Sapa experience here. click me!
While the rest is getting ready for their flight to Malaysia, and some of us are getting ready to Halong Bay, while my cousin and i are getting ready for our bus to Ninh Binh.

Here's the thing is, initially we wanted to follow the team to Halong Bay since it was a must visit place in Hanoi.
However, when we were buying our sleeping bus ticket, Cherry Tran our ticketer convince us that we won't make it to Ho Chi Minh if we went for Halong Bay because we had a very limited time.
Our flight HCM-KL is on 19th May.
She then suggested us to go to Ninh Binh instead of Halong bay.
After we search it on Google about Ninh Binh, we finally agree with her,
So we bought our Open Sleeping Bus at the price of 46usd/person (RM193.35) including one day tour in NinhBinh!
Cherry is a good ticket dealer. i truly recommend her. if you want to contact her, this is her facebook page-Cherry Tran.

and one of the hiker from our team decided to join us last minutes so there begin our three musketeer trip!

So our bus went to fetch us at our hotel around 7 am and we arrived Ninh Binh at 10am and start touring.

Exploring Vietnam Part 1- Sapa.

13th May 2017

We wake up at 7am to get ready for Love falls, Sapa.
i was super excited because enjoying waterfalls after a long tiring hike is just perfect!

my cousin told me she can't go to the waterfall because her leg still hurt and she don't think she can go for another trekking activity.
So,she decided to stay and go for shopping.
I understand that because there's a lot of cheap clothes you can find in Sapa with good quality.
So, that's mean i will be the only girl who are going for the falls in the group since all of the girls said they want to go for shopping in Sapa.

Well, i still stick with my decision to go for the falls since shopping is not really my favorite.
i mean i do shopping to but if i was given to go for trekking and shopping, i'll always choose trekking and waterfalls!

At first they decided to go with bus but then, suddenly everybody want to go with motorbike which is very bad for me because i can't ride motor or even bicycle.
I almost gave up the falls when one of the team offer me a ride. he's going alone and he said we can divide the motorcar's fee.
So, Yes!
that's my partner. we are getting ready for Love waterfalls.

Exploring Vietnam:Mount Fansipan Hike

i booked all my flight ticket last year without realizing that my Mount Rinjani and Mount Fansipan hike is only 2 weeks apart!
it was really crazy at that time.
but i can't cancel my Fansipan hike since i already book everything and this time i'll go with my cousin. and i can't let her go alone of course.
so, i decided to just go with my original plan.
*I feel so sorry to my workmate for conquering all the holiday that time.
#dikecam?
huhu

Tuesday 1 August 2017

Conquering Mount Rinjani.

It's been a busy months for me for the past 3 months with my classes, job and travel so,

I always want to go hike the mount Rinjani since i last saw my friend's photo on his instagram.
I tried recruiting my sister and cousin for the trip but gosh its really hard to make it happened.
Asal plan memang tidak jadi. Asal tidak jadi, mesti plan.

And one of them is cooking!

I found the glass noodle in the kitchen (i bought it few days before).
So, i thought i should make japchae and began looking for the recipe on the internet.

Lucky we have a pool to relax.

And around 12pm we finally ready to move to our destination to Uluwatu Temple.
We had a lunch on the  way to Uluwatu Temple somewhere i don't remember the name but not in Kuta of course since Kuta is an expensive place.

TRANSJAVA-BALI BACKPACKER (DAY 8: Mengwi,Bali)

28th January 2017.

we woke up pretty early that day i consider since we were out walking from our room starting at 8.00am.
We only had our leftover bread as breakfast.
We went to the Taman Ayun Temple by walking.
it took 30 minutes from our homestay to the Taman Ayun Temple walking actually.
It's hot day but we enjoy our walk.
Along the way we saw a of temple.
80% of Bali's resident is Hindu so it is very common to see temple or pura in each of the house.
So all the way from our homestay to Bali we get to see different kind of temple design in each house.
on the street of Mengwi

TRANSJAVA-BALI BACKPACKER (DAY 7: Java to Bali via Ferry)

27th January 2017

We woke up quite late that day.
we plan to wake up at 6 am to send out laundry to dry-clean nearest shop in Tabanan but i guess we're all very tired so we only woke up at 9am.
heu heu heu.
But it's okay.
it's not like we have thumb print to chase. kekeke

So we only manage to send our laundry to dryclean shop at 11am and finish at 1.30pm.
Dryclean was cheap in Tabanan compare to Kuta.
cost us only IDR 3K/kg.

After we finish packing we then head out to Tabanan Ferry Station to Bali.
I was a little bit overexcited for Bali actually.
i've heard a lot about Bali and i really wanted to visit Bali since forever!
hoho.
From Tabanan Station to Gilimanuk(Bali) station is pnly IDR 6000/Person = RM2.00. cheap isn't?
But on the entrance you'll be offered a price IDR 90K/person straight to Denpasar.
But since we love to do it our ways, we decided not to take the offer

ready to depart for Bali!

22nd January 2017

We woke up pretty late for a backpackers.
My friend said that a good backpacker should wake up as early as 6am to get ready.
However last night was crazy for us.
it was a long flight and walking al ost 4 hours in the rain around the city was really tiring!
So, we end up waking up at 8.30am and only manage to checked out at 12 pm.
Well, the good things about waking up late is that you'll skip breakfast meaning we save money for our breakfast.

Our journey for lunch hunting continue.
walking journey continue

Transjava Bali Backpacker (Day 1: KK-KL-JKT-Bandung)

Introduction.

The trip was plan during our trip to Aceh Last year 2016 in November.
So it was planned 3 months before the trip.
We were so excited that we don't check the weather.
And it's been raining in Java since the first day we were there.

20th January 2017.

it was supposed to our flight from KK-KL that night but i didn't get to checked in, soooooo, i missed my flight! So, Always and aaaalllllllaways checked in a week earlier for your flight!

21st January 2017.

Dipendekkan cerita, i arrived at Jakarta Soekerno-Hatta International Airport at about 1.30pm (Jakarta Time).
We don't waste our time in Jakarta since it's just like Kuala Lumpur i guess so, we decided to go straight to Bandung from airport
We then plan to take the van to bandung which they called it Travel car. Well, the van is quite special since it has Wifi for free and got Usb port for charging purposed on every seat. It cost about IDR 160/person!

Jakarta to Banung took about 3 hours because of the jammed road on the way, so we arrived at Bandung around 5.30pm.
And there begin our walking journey.
Fisrt for food hunting and second for cheap hotel.
(you can search for cheap hotel on Agoda if you don't want to waste your time walking in the rain  like us).
we just love walking and exploring the places that's why most of the time we will choose walking instead of taking car.
